Dreams can come true.

After coming so close in York last year, I've finally managed to realise a long term dream of mine and have secured the chance to drive a loco in the shape of former Iarnród Éireann GM Class 141. This includes empty coaching stock working as well as running light before packing her back in the shed. I'm absolutely over the moon.

On a community note, I'm sure I'll get the chance to take plenty of photos so if anyone has plans to produce this type of loco, I am more than happy to provide reference shots.

Happy, happy, joy, joy!

Well aren't you the lucky one?!

Many moons ago as a young man I worked on a Glasgow suburban electric station as a booking clerk and was late finsihing as the paperwork wasn't working out. The porters were off home and I was locking up and phoned the signal box for a brief chat with the signalman before going home. He arranged to red light an empty electric MU heading for the depot and I went down onto the platform and got a lift home with the driver in the cab. Kind of made my day finishing it off just fine.

I have always wanted to drive a tram. Do you like spreading jealousy around?!

And I've always wanted to fire West Side 12.........sadly I missed my rules class this year....have to wait until next year to get qualified...
