Downloading Updates

For several weeks now, I've been trying to download the content updates (ie, the updates available box after you click 'Start'). However, I'm finding that a lot of these don't actually finish. They download (at 4kB/s!) to 100% but never actually complete, so when I start the game again it says that such content still needs updating.

This doesn't apply to all items, but only maybe 5%. An example that never completes is Gras13.

I've also tried doing this through the content manager, but with the same result. After the progress bar fills, the download speed drops to zero but a tick never appears and the content is still listed as requiring update once Trainz is restarted.

I've repaired the database, which didn't help.

The database log window doesn't indicate any problems.

Note that I don't have a download ticket. I'm hoping it isn't necessary to pay extra just to get updates to the included content.

Advice please!

Try setting all the .exe files in the Trainz install folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\N3V Games\[trainz-version] or C:\Program Files (x86)\Auran\[trainz-version]) and the \bin folder to run as administrator by right-clicking, selecting 'Properties', and checking off "Run this program as administrator" in the Compatibility tab.

If that fails, you may need to download the files via FTP from the DLS.
