Downloading TRS 2004 content from Amtrak Group

I would like to know how Would I go about downloading content from the Amtrak group website? I download it but how do I get it onto the game? Please help!

It's in CDP format (green thingy) just double click it and it should unpack into the correct place.

I'm not sure how their group is setup, but I'm sure you have to join their forum or something like it to get access to their downloads.

Once you get the download you want, it will come down as a .CDP file. These are usually automatically opened by Content Manager (CM).

Just remember to commit the content by checking your Open for Edit tab in CM once the content has been installed. If it shows up there, you'll need to commit by selecting all the content (Ctrl-a), and pressing Ctrl+M at the same time.

John, he's running 2004 not 2006, CM & open for edit + 'commit' are not needed.

You can download the content if your a member or not but I want some viewliners for my layout and after downloading the content I'm not sure how to get it into the game. I play TRS 2004.

Well the content downloads and appears on Contentmanger but when I open the railyard in TRS 2004 none of it appears or it's name or anything. Help!!!!!

What is the version and build of your 2004 please? You will find it after trainz has loaded and before you click anything else down in the right hand lower corner.
It needs to be 2165 (I think) for the later content to show in-game.

Actually, it needs to be 2365 (or 2370 for the UK version).

Also don't forget that some content requires Piantshed to be installed before it shows up.

I have 2365 and paintshed and it still apears in content manger but not in TRS 2004.

Do you have TrainzObjectz installed? If so what does that say about your files? You may have missing dependencies that are required for downloaded object to show up. If you don't have TrainzObjectz installed, use google to locate it and download and install it. When you fire it up it will list all of the trainz stuff in your 2004 files and flag errors for you. (It is what everyone used prior to CM in 2006 and higher.)
