Downloading to Trainz Classic

I have been playing on Trainz Classics 1+2 for a few months now and have been slowly expanding the list of content I have for it through the Download Helper. However I recently went on the PTrams website and tried to download some content but when opening it, it only installs the content in Trs06 (which I also have). Similarly when I download things directly from the DLR it only installs in Tr06 and not in Classics (I have to go through the CMP).

Is there a way of opening the downloaded content in the Classics CMP rather the Trs06 or is there a way of transferring the content over to the other.
I have tried opening it for edit and copying the files to the Edit folder in TC but it doesn’t recognize them.

Ptrams said the content was for Trs06 and Trs04 and I am assuming Trs04 came before Classics so I guess it should work.
Can anyone help me with this?

you could download using 06 then import through classics i have done this once but cannot seem to remember how
