Where can I find a black texture file for bdaneal's 2-8-0s? It's supposed to be titled engine_black.tga for engine_black.texture.txt for the dependency blw con b2 <kuid96914:504862>. I need it to be in another download that's freeware (either third-party or download station). I also have a few 2-8-0s made by cincysouthernrwy that depend on bdaneal's 2-8-0s. Can you help?

Just make one up in Note Pad. Be sure to name it correctly or it will not work.

I don't know how to make a texture file and I need to be shown how to do something instead of just being told. Maybe being autistic has to do with it.

Jordon,

It's not as difficult as you think:

Download Gimp (free), use MS Paint (free), purchase PaintShop Pro (inexpensive), or spend a lot of money on Photoshop.

Create a 64 x 64 square of black color.
Save the file as engine_black.tga
Uncheck the option for file compression

In Content Manager, open the asset for editing in Explorer.

Paste your file in there.
Ensure that there is an engine_black.texture.txt file there. Hint: Copy another texture.txt file and edit its contents and save it as engine_black.texture.txt

Check the asset again for errors in Content Manager. The program will tell you if something is wrong or missing.

If all is okay, close your asset's folder.
Commit the asset in Content Manager, and you're ready to go.

It's more difficult to type this than it is to actually do.

John
