Downloading content on to Trainz

Hello. I've recently downloaded a B&O SD-9 along with it's flexi-coil trucks and a GP40-2 package along with another download for it. I got these downloads for free from a website. How do I add them to Trainz 2006 so that I can use them?

Ha Ha Ha! That's so easy when you know how! All you have to do is open CMP, open the tab "Open for Edit", check that all the dependiencies are there, and commit the assets.
1-2-3 done!

In what format are the downloads? If CDP then open CMP and import CDP, done. If it is as a trainz content folder then import content.

I manafed to get the content into the Trainz content manager, but now I have a new problem and a few questions. First, does an item need to have all its dependencies before it can work properly? Because I have a GP40-2 package and the dependencies are a seperate download. How do I add the dependencies to the GP40-2's? When I started up trainz from the content manager, it asked me whether I wanted to commit or not? What does this mean? I hit commit. Does this mean I can't edit the items now? Once everything works, where do I find the content in the trainz simulator?

In general, all kuids referenced in a loco's config.txt file must be present in order to use the loco.

Adding assets to TRS2006 is done using CMP File-Import CDP or File-Import Content.

All assets, when first installed, are put into a temp folder (I think it's the edit folder) and then must be commited.

Commit is the process where the imported asset is converted to the digital format used in the game, stored in the database
and the assets.tdx index is updated.

All working content should be available in Surveyor.

Can someone please take me through the entire process of adding downloads to trainz 2006? I've imported the locomotive (B&O SD-9) but I have to add something to the file (flexicoil trucks) how do I add this to the file? Where in the file do I add it?
