Download station

I know this is a dumb quwstion but bear with this eighty year young person. After I put something in my cart at the download station how do I go about getting it into Trainz. HELP!

Sounds like you are using the Download Station (aka "Black Pages"). I'm not sure the cart even works anymore. Note I have both TS2010 & TS12. I tried to download a TS12 item via the cart and it opened my TS2010 CM but never did anything after that. I usually use the FTP method (one item at a time) if I'm downloading from the Black Pages. You get to FTP by selecting Download Details beside the item, then select Download FTP. Then you can install the resulting CDP into whatever version of Trainz you want it in and backdate it to work if necessary. Is the TANE Content Manager not working? That would be the best method to get multiple items at once.

I haven't been able to connect to the "Black Pages" for quite some time ... as was said the FTP method works great .. I never use the "Download Via Cart" method

Hello all,
This is one way how you can use the cart method:
If you go to the cart and click on a blue colored text item it will transfer you to the Kuid download page.
Determine whether or not you want a normal or FTP transfer, and the download the asset in the form of a CDP file to a designated part of your hard drive (usually the downloads folder).
When all requested items are downloaded, get into Content Manager and go to the Import CDP's tab select the file path and load in from the downloads folder.
You might need to commit the assets after installation depending on your content manager settings.

I only got the cart to work once when I was using TS2009, never worked since. FTP works well enough as does Content manager.
