Probably a stupid question to ask; I have been trying to download various routes from the DLS but every time I attempt to download I get a response from the content manager that it cannot obtain a download URL. Why is it doning this and what can I do to fix it?

I am using TS12

Usually, that means the DLS is being a little flaky. You can reboot and try again, or download from the Black Pages. Be sure, though, that your firewall isn't blocking anything and that, if you're running Vista or Windows 7, that you're running as Administrator, because that can make the program flake out too.

Thanks for a response! I was starting to think that I was just being ignored because of my question.

I have always downloaded from the "Black Pages" and havent had any issues until the last week or so. I am running as the administrator and firewalls are non existarn on my desktop. they cost money which I cannot allocate in my tight college budget.

I assume there is no real way other than the one you suggested to get around this issue?

Well, just try again and see what happens. The DLS does get a bit flaky at times. Also, be aware that the Black Pages and the DLS accessed via CMP are different and not always in sync. In theory, everything should be duplicated, but that doesn't always happen. If you keep having problems after a day or two, let me know the kuids and names of the routes and I'll let the Auran people know something's up.

Also keep in mind if they're just-uploaded routes and sessions, then this error can occur as well.

I'm curious to know if you are using an FCT? It appears to me that some folks are experiencing trouble downloading larger files, and I'm trying to determine what the cause may be. Thanks.

I have a lifetime FCT, but I also have problem with CMP (not with the DLS itself): CMP refused to download the newest UMR. It really is a huge route, but where CMP goes on strike I download from the Black Pages. I could then import the CDP without troubles.
BTW, during this afternoon somebody must have done ssomething to the DLS, because now it seems to work again.
