Is it possible to start a download in CM stop mid download and pick up where I left off later. My problem is that my IP won't let me download in DLS /CM so I have to go to my local Library to download. I don't have all day and will not leave my computer DAH... Can someone help as I want to download the Durango and Silverton and it's about 120Mg.

Sounds like you might do well with a first class ticket from the Trainz Store. Starting at just a few dollars, it will download that 120MB in less than a minute.

I have first class ticket and my average speeds is 200 to 400kps at times my speeds drop as low as 70k. I wish I could get a Mps. but thats all I get. 122Mg takes me quite awhile to download,

To answer your initial question, if you download through the Content Organizer and suddenly close the download window without having finished downloading, and also close the game, and later or perhaps hours later you go back through the Content Organizer to download the object whose download had stopped, that download will continue at the download point where it had stopped.

Thanks Frank... I will try it. I do have leave home to use DLS at the library which means using a laptop and things can download slow
A clarification on my previous answer: the download is not automatic again when you open the Content Organizer; you have to select the object again and click download.

Have you tried using a VPN to get "around" your ISP restriction?
I have this issue with my ISP, can't d/l a thing from DLS/CM. Run the VPN b4 I start Trainz, then no issue as it gets me around the IP restriction.

Does it start over on the last file download, or is it going to be resuming where it left off? For example, say there is an asset downloading that is 5 megabytes in size, but you interrupted it around halfway. Will that amount downloaded be retained, and continue from there when you select it again and click download? Or, does it just not get retained when interrupted and instead will start over downloading it from the beginning again when selected and download clicked?

That is a good question. In that case you would be spinning your wheels. To answer the question about VPN from Blade runner ,way back I tried that and found out that having T Mobile is a problem trying to download FTPs and VPN is a no go.

I had already tried what I said myself.
If you start downloading any object and close the download window before it finishes, and later select the same object and start downloading it again, it resumes where you left off.
I guess the game has a temporary download file.
Try it for yourselves: select a large file, interrupt the download, and then resume it again.
I did the test with a slow download speed, without having a fast download ticket.

I do not know if DLS supports it but try using PASV (passive mode) on your FTP client. The hassle with FTP without PASV is that your end is opening service ports and that can be problematic with VPNs and obnoxious ISPs.
