Does Trainz 2009 work well on current Intel-based iMacs?

Trainz PC, iPad and Mac
I am a Mac user thinking of buying a new iMac with the Intel Core 2 Duo processor so that I can run Trainz 2009. I have scanned the Auran forums and gather that Trainz 2006 runs well on an Intel-based iMac with Boot Camp. However, I would be interested in any experience with Trainz 2009. Does it work better with Windows XP or Vista or is there no difference? Is Parallels (http://www.parallels.com) worth the investment so that one can switch from OS X to Windows without a reboot?

I'm running TS09 fine with Boot Camp, XP (don't have Vista or 7 so can't comment on them) and an Intel Processor. I would suggest that is the most pain free way to go. :)

further comment on imac ??

amigacooke: would you care to comment further on the specs of your iMac?
I, too, am considering an iMac for other reasons, but would like to know about it's capabilities as far as Trainz goes...
What size monitor do you use?
Which video processor does it have?
How much memory?
Which CPU?

What's the downside?

Thanks, Durff
