DLS upload max file size?

Hi;
I am about to start on a route that I would like to upload here once it is done. What is the maximum size the .cdp file can be for upload to DLS?

Thanks

You will find it tends to work out at around 1Mb per mile in the cdp file, depending how far out you extend the baseboards. A real problem for me as I like to build long routes, as I just commented in another thread the unoptimised gnd file (after extraction with Transdem) for my latest route comes in at 482Mb. Obviously that will compress down in cdp and I'll probably lose about 20% of the boards where stuff won't be visible from the train but for a 120 mile route probably looking at a cdp of 150Mb! :eek: :eek:

My Clovis2 route = 120 miles = 100Mb CDP, although it is a pretty lo-poly route, therefore smaller cdp than a 'typical' route of that length.

AFAIK route CDPs larger than the upload limit can be snail-mailed to Auran on disk for inclusion on the DLS...

I guess a very large route could be broken down into smaller sections, and uploaded that way.
I don't want my route to become too large, or I will never complete it. I already have one route that is 150 miles long, and will never upload as a whole to DLS. But I wanted to create a smaller, fictional route to work on when I'm bored with the prototype route.

I chose the Idaho & Oregon area because it is an interesting terrain. Will be very difficult to get the railroad through; lots of tunnels and high bridges, but that is what I wanted to create.
