DL trains not stopping at station

Looking for some help here please.

I have trainz 2010, build 44088.

I just downloaded a couple of loco's of DL station. 1st 1 was Metra F 40 Ph,
created by Euphod, kuid2: 7592:10223:1, version -TRS 2004.

2nd- Metra EMD F40-C, created by cloakedghost275, kuid2: 76096:40:2, version - TRS 2004.

I have made a consist of the Metra F 40 PH with 4 Metra double deck passenger cars, and it never stops at the station. I also made the consist with the Metra EMD F40-C loco.

I would click on my engineer photo, click navigate to station name, then platform #. The train will always pass the station before it stops. Usually the last cars stops at the platform.

I also tried different things to try to make my train stop sooner. But still passes the station before it stops.
I clicked objects, then edit properties, changed platform importance to small station. Thinking this might help. But no.

Then after several hours of trying different things, i change to several different loco's, and the train stops properly at the station. The way i was hoping the Metra loco's would.

I would really like to use the Metra loco's if i can. I don't know if it's because it's a 2004 version:confused: . If someone could suggest something else to try, i would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

I have had same problem with different sessions/layouts I have.
1. What speed is the consist traveling at?
I have noticed with heavier consists at higher speeds that when they get the AI command to stop at a given point that by the time the consist slows down and stops the LOCO is way past the mark. Hence you observing it stopping near end of consist.
2. Consider positioning a speed marker ahead of the station. at say 20 or 15 mph. so that the consist starts slowing down earlier. Then comes to a stop where you want it.
3. Good presetup test is to go into surveyor set up your consist, just a short way from the mark, with it's stop at (?) Ai comaand. Go into quick drive and see if it starts up ( should not gain much speed) and then stops where you want it.
If it does then you have a mass in motion not wanting to stop problem. Use pre approach speed marker to slow it down.

thanks Krnicholson,

I did put a 10 mph speed sign way before my station on my siding. The train slows down to 10 mph but still stops way beyond the station. No matter what speed i have tried, the train stops in the same location all the time.

sorry, i forgot to mention it's coming in at 40 mph into the siding with the station,
thanks,
