(Disregard My Other Account's Post) Approch Lit Scripting / Questions

Hi, I'm just writing this because I got access to my old account back and am unable to delete the same post from my other account.
I had a few questions.
Would please be possible to make a script where you can decide how many min / seconds it takes before the signals shut off, when the last car passes the signal?
For example: the lights shut off immediately once the final car passes, but I want the lights to stay red, until maybe after 4 or 5 min, and then shut off.
I tried to do it with mileposts but it didn't work.
Another question is, is there a way to have the signals activate when there's a train coming from the opposite direction that the signal is facing?
When I was testing with them, I saw a train that was approching but the signal never activated and remained off.

Thanks in advance!

I can't help you with the other stuff.

With the signals make sure your engine is running forward towards the signal, meaning the green arrow has to face the direction of travel, otherwise the signal will remain dark or red.

I'm trying to have the opposing signal turn from dark to red when the train gets 2 blocks closer, and then red to dark for the other signal (The signal that gives all clear for the train when it approches) when the train gets 2 blocks farther away. It works for the signals that are meant for the train heading towards it, like dark to green for example. It's kinda hard to explain lol

I see what you are attempting to do. I don't think it works because the signal logic only see trains that are heading towards them. If there are no trains, then the signal won't light up.

I've read your request in multiple places. I was trying to really understand what your objective is, but I am still confused. In the end, there isn't any way for you to change an approach lit signal to be on when the block is not active. The purpose of such operation, and how it works in real world is the light will come on when the block it signals to has a train in it. You may be able to manipulate the active block with a channel input, but again it is very difficult to grasp what operation you are trying to do.

Ah okay understandable. lol I asked almost everywhere. I'll just keep messing with it until something works the way I intend it lol thank you all for the the replies. I was watching the live stream of the Houston yard, and noticed the lights stay on after the last car passes the signal, and then shut off
so I thought I could mimmick that on here.
