Disaster-lost route

This is missing baseboard and jumbled lofts. The route is totally messed up. Many hours gone. Shows how frustrating these games can be.

Well, the disaster had a short life. Restarted PC and now it looks proper. Hopefully I can reverse all the curses I placed upon N3v.
Wonder how many customers with weak hearts had issues when they see things like this.

Glad you got it back, now back it up to CDP before it happens again! :p

Once a day at least, and add the date to the filename so you can easily find which one you want.

Well Sniper, I see we use an almost identical naming convention, e.g., "Chicago Metro 3 1124dammit.cdp." :hehe:

Very good advice. Hearing stories of heavy loss always causes a cringe and causes me to recall the bitter lesson I learned the hard way.

If I may, friends, just backing up is not enough. Back up TWICE to different media, for example, once to the working drive, and once to a different one, whether a different HDD, optical media (CD or DVD) or a thumb drive. I learned this the hard way, years ago. I was dutifully backing up on a regular basis, and in fact, backing up to a different logical drive. Problem was, the logical drive was on the same physical drive as the file I was backing up. When I had a drive failure, I lost both.

Remember, the time you lose can never be replaced, but flash memory is cheap.

And to quote my grandfather, "All learning comes from mistakes, and wise men don't insist on learning only from their own.
