Disappearing locos

Today I was working in Surveyor and I added a LMS 7F loco from PaulzTrainz, and assigned a driver. I went into driver and the train had disappeared, all I could see was the smoke. When I went back into surveyor it had disappeared from there also, not even the smoke. I tried to add another loco to couple up to it to try and delete it, but got a message box saying I couldn't place another loco as there was one already present on a hidden layer. I'm running Trainz 2009, so how do I find this "hidden layer".

All help and suggestions gratefully received.

Make a cdp of the loco then delete it from content manager. Open the route/session and the loco should not be there. Save route/session.
Re install loco.

Thanks for your quick response. I've followed your advice and was able to get back to a clean route and session. I've been on to Paul of Paulz, and he's looking into the 7F locos for me to find out what is wrong. First time i've had this problem, so I was a bit lost. Many thanks.

It's nothing to do with locos or stock. Maybe it saved to route name and session default instead of your session name.

No, Fran. Good thought, but it isn't in either route or session. And every other loco I've tried has worked normally, no problems at all.

It was the loco. Paul's fixed it and sent me the cdp, and it works fine.
