Disapointed in 2010

Hi All, I must say I am disappointed in 2010, for the 10 or 15th time I have had to reput in my drivers tasks, I am taking good care to save often and carefully, the Auran oak track does not look good, although it functions as it should I will revert to the 1trk wood from 2009.
Also when I try to shut my computer down ( I try to do this every night) I get the "End now" screen and I cancel because it seems to be busy on the Auran/bin files, this morning, after all night letting it run, it was still saying the same thing, what is it doing? 2006 and 2009 did not do this, I shall revert to 2009 again until maybe another patch will fix this stuff.
The graphics are great, good looking trains etc.

Peter.

Hi Peter,
After you shut trainz down the TADDaemon should stay on, for about one or two minuets or so, then it should go off by it's self, if yours is not doing this, it may be that a bit of programming has been corrupted in some way and the program is hanging, the best way to get around this is to go into Task Manager with [Control] [shift] [escape], and close TADDaemon from there with end task, this should do no harm, and if it is working on something it will resume where it left off when you restart it, and should save you money on big electricity bills, at the very least.

disappointed in 10

Thanks J, will try that, I believe there wasw some corrupted files in there as one of my savings had all the tracks I had laid and deleted in one spot.
Tried Vista, what a disaster that was, it wouldn't recognise that I had directx 10.0 in there, it wouldn't load, so cleaned it all off and went back to XP Pro, havent tried 10 yet but 2009 and MS train simulator, flight simulators 2004 and X worked as they should, will try 10 next and make some tables and tracks etc.

Peter.

Peter, I have heard that some computers are having trouble getting TS2010 to the SP3 build, but quite a few are getting it to work by going into safe mode with networking.
It may be worth a try!

you need to be in session layer...
