Did BNSF ever plan on getting 90MACs?

Hey everyone. I got a copy of the January 1999 issue of Trains Magazine, and on page 29, it says, "...on BNSF's 70- and 90-series EMD's..." Hang on a moment. 90-series EMD units on BNSF? Does this mean that BNSF, at one point, planned on purchasing SD90s? That gives me an idea for a personal reskin project.

I know that the Chicago and Northwestern planned on purchasing on either SD90MAC's or AC6000CW's, but they merged with Union Pacific before they could place an order. I haven't heard anything about BNSF buying SD90MAC's. However, they might have considered buying the Ex-Union Pacific SD90MAC's that were for sale that Norfolk Southern purchased.
