Detail missing after save

G'day!

After an hour detailing a small number of baseboards, I saved and exited Trainz. However when I returned I found this


The trees, road, power lines, track and grass have been removed, leaving only the textures and derailed train. Is there a solution to this?

Yeah. I only had the session layer and route layer.

I think hes trying to ask what layer you were working on.... In general, if you're adding or editing anything besides locomotives/rolling stock, you need to make sure you're on the Route Layer. You also have to be careful editing trains because when you start playing with those assets, the game will sometimes kick you into the Session layer and all other asset editing goes onto the session layer, which then will not save correctly....

That train has been there for a while, I haven't fiddled with it since I put it there. I always work on the route layer, however I cannot recall the layer I had at the time. So I'm really puzzled as to why Trainz has removed all the assets I placed.

Hi Jake,

Check that the asset isn't missing. I had that happen once before, thus the suggestion. If you used some DLC unknowingly from one of the DLC routes such as the Settle and Carlisle or Murchison, and if it's not available this will also cause the same problem.
