Delete Builtins?

I would like to put TS2102 on my new Solid State Drive (SSD) but with all the bulltins that I never use it adds to the program's size. I would like to delete all builtins older than version 2.9 but I am afraid that is not possible. However. one last query to see if there is a magic eraser?

I'm afraid built-in content cannot be deleted. There is no magic eraser either. The only exception is built-in content added by an addon pack, which can usually be removed via it's uninstall utility.

IF N3V ever updates the program a smart move would be to move items older than v2.7 to a "legacy class". Then the customer would have the option to install that package.

The only thing you can do is disable them, at least then when in surveyor for eg the list of locos is not cluttered with ones you'll never use.

This isn't such a bad idea, but this would break a lot of routes that use these assets because the end-user wouldn't know which routes use them or not, just like Content Manager doesn't know either, and there would be a lot more missing dependencies.

This. Just use CM to display the list of items with the filter set for AND NOT Minimum Build Version 2.9 then select the whole list and disable.

Or do what I did, get a list of Minimum Build Version 2.9 then add a keyword, I added Native. This way in Surveyor I just use the filter with Native and only have those items showing in lists.

I would advise great caution if disabling assets as this may affect dependent assets.

It is better to use the filter option in Surveyor.
