hi

I am looking for an english version of the "Aluminum Transport" session for the Decin- Bad Schandau route (included in TRS 09). Any help in tracking this down would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have all the patches for TS2009? I think there were English updates since the program had the originally German routes in German instead of English like the rest of the program. Which patch may have fixed this is something I can't answer.

I have the 40040 patch installed. Still a LOT of german only sessions, which is too bad because I like running Euro lines. I saw a link for the English version of the session I was after on a Trainz 2007 German site at this location http://www.4hofmaenner.de/TRS07-3.html

I was hoping somebody had that session file...

It is a bit of a long way around the barn, but I opened up the HTML files for every session on that route and changed the text from German to English. It can be done, but it is tedious.

I can download the first one but get a 404 error for the Aluminium Transport one. Did you manage to download it?

But... but ... if you can read it in German why would you translate it to English?

You can use google translate or one of the other fine translation programs on the web to do so - you don't actually need to read the other language.

Have Fun,

sorry to be such a noob, but could you point to the html files? I did an HD search for .htm files in the Auran folder and came up with nothing except the manuals.

Thanks

@Baureihe41:

Ich kann lesen und sprechen Deutsch, aber es ist nur eine von vielen ich spreche. Viel einfacher, zu zeigen Sie es und in englischer Sprache zu übersetzen.

@nthornton:

You have to open CMP/CM2 and look for the session HTML files. If you do a search for 'name = HTML' you should be able to find all the files you need for every session that uses HTML files. Open the session for edit in explorer and do what you will.

Problem is they don't all translate into the same words. Single words and small phrases maybe but stick a long sentence or three into translators from
Google
Alta Vista (Babel Fish)
Bing
You get certain parts different even when translating into the same language.
I know since I've tried a few for config files.

The problem is that, apart from the menu screen, the HTML messages are images so would need to be typed into Google manually. That is what I assume HiBaller meant by tedious.
