Custom Routes becoming "In-Built"

G'day all
Has anyone else experienced some of their custom (both downloaded and self produced) becoming like Inbuilt, that is they cannot be deleted? While my problem is confined to TRS04 and TRS06 I was wondering if it happens with other versions and have other users found a way around the problem?

Cheers
Russell.

If you have not edited you kuid number into the game set up it will set all the work to default. On the opening screen select options (I think) or something similar to enter your game details like kuid, password etc.

Thanks for your input. But this has happened to only some of the routes, not all so surely your suggestion would not be totally successful?

In TRS04 only routes installed in the world\custom directory tree appear as 'Custom' routes. These are the only routes that can be deleted from the in-game Surveyor menu screen. By default only your own routes were saved to world\custom.

All downloaded routes (or routes installed by executing a 3rd party cdp) were installed to the world\dispatcher directory and could not be deleted in-game but had to be deleted either via TrainzObjectz or manually deleted in Explorer. In your words they appeared 'like built-in routes' in the Surveyor menu screen.

In fact I used to protect my completed routes from accidental deletion by moving them to a 'routes' folder under the world\dispatcher folder. This removed the 'Delete' option in-game.

I didn't use 06 enough to remember how it was set up. TRS06 did introduce the first Content Manager so anything could be deleted from there, but I don't recall if there was a 'Delete' option in the in-game Surveyor menu.....

G'day Dermmy,
Thanks for your input, it goes a long way to helping me understand what I need to do next. And I just checked before replying, there is a delete option in the 06 Surveyor Route listing, on my copy at least!

Cheers
Russell.
