upload them, 'Copy Image Location', and paste it in your message by putting

tags around the link (which should end with an image file extension)

It does providing it's an image reference.

I was always wondering how it was done. I have a few ideas for the screenies tab and wanted the direct pic inserted.

If that method doesn't work for some reason, use the Insert Image button on the toolbar and enter the address to the image there (it needs to be hosted somewhere on the internet though - I've seen other users here who have tried to do it with images stored on their computer).

Quite a few years ago N3V stopped taking submissions for avatars, so while you can create your own; you have to use one of the many provided. Personally I'd love to opportunity of update some of the ones I made that are in the system.
