Crossover Problems

I have tried everyguide and track guide to make a even looking crossover but nothing is working. I have a double main line and trying to make a crossover to a siding on the other side but the spline points on the tracks never line up. out of 8 spline points 2 line up the rest are missaligned with each other take a look at the picture. I lined up the left 2 spline points and followed the guide and the rest dont line up.

To get any points looking good you should insert a spline point on the plaine side of the point blades and use the straighten tool to straighten the short piece of track. It will also look better if you have the edges of the ballast touchin so that no grass is visible between the tracks, as on a real railway. From memory, a typical crossover in my own part of the UK would be 150 feet from point blade to point blade. If you use this geometry everything should look right.

I never bother with the spline points in the crossover rails. I lay two rails parallel, add the crossover rails, then align the spline points by hand. Straighten the track outside of each of the turnouts, use the Get Height button from the advanced menu and apply that height to all the spline points in the crossover so they're level.
If you're on a grade, it's the same, except you're taking the spline height from each point on one rail and applying it to it's twin on the other rail.
