Another one of poor grammar! What happened to for?
Anyway, you use any painting program you deem appropiate for the job that could be "Photoshop", "Paint Shop Pro", the "GIMP" or even "MS Paint". You have to learn UVWs in order to make a texture, World Of Trainz has a decent tutorial for this: http://www.worldoftrainz.com/Pages/Tutorials_TRS2006/3dsRollingStockTutTRS.htm

If you have 3D Studio Max, you can try and use the "Texporter Tool", which creates a base for you. http://www.cuneytozdas.com/software/3dsmax/
If you feel adventous, you could also try "Chillskinner": http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/chilliskinner and the tutorial can be found here: http://www.maps.bassface3d.com/tutorials/texturinglpm2.php

Basically you just create a new texture file and save it as a .tga. The name is irrelevant its just what you call it. When you reference it in Blender or GMAX you type the name in.

The difficult bit is planning which bit of texture goes where. Try to leave a 5% margin round each bit of image Trainz tends to bleed a bit. I've been known to take an existing layout and then put my textures on top.

Cheerio John

chears il give that ago :D
repainting is so easy ive done it for quite a while on other contents that ive asked permisson on as you can see on the DLS its just creating the 1st skin thats a pickle lol

thanks for the help anyways
