Cowra - Weddin Lines could be history

Does LRV still display static items at Cowra, or have they moved to?

To bring those that don't know up to date, this Cowra line (Blayney - Harden line) closed in the last part of last year. This decison affected the running of LVR tourist railway trains on the line, and were forced to move elsewhere, and quite a fair distance from Cowra. I'm not sure if they still have static displays at Cowra though.

My quesiton is does anyone know if the LVR has moved their static displays as well, or are the statics still at Cowra?

wedding nsw line wont work with other routes

i tried to put wedding nsw line together with monteagle line but there at diffrent hight and what i had to put in was a sirile tunnel lol its funny but when i get time ill chat that part so its going down hill slighty make it look abit more realistic if any one has any ideas please leave tham here thanks
 
never heard of that problem before at all so, got no idea lined up spot on for me - oh did you try to join it up in 2010 - old routes do not like being joined up in 2010 -
 
Bearcat, he is right, their is a slight height difference. But I just joined them together a while ago, and just pretended that a "steam roller"/"bulldozer"/"land height & gradient adjuster" (whatever that would be!) altered the land around the rail line slightly, and as usual, just put in the missing track over the join.

Do not forget to join "lines to the lachlan 2009" on to the end of Cowra to give your the line to Blayney.

ARTC has started to pull up the Canowindra line

*bristles* let me guess, big buisness (aka trucking industry) and so on, have offered money to local/state governments, to ensure line dissapears, when its well known, that one train can haul a LOT more than one truck, with much less enviormental impact and damage to roads, etc....yup - lets hear it for narrow minded thinking.
 
In this case sorry to say the local council were the ones pushing for the ripping out of the bridges - one was limiting the size of Caravans that could fit under the bridge and gain access to the council owned van park.

And another bridge would have prevented semis using a road as a proposed main street bypass.

And there is the housing development that council is pushing that would have had the rail line running right up its middle.

Thanks for the info on the Lachlan route, I never knew there was another one. This may be hard for me to join though due to the problems in merging in 2010 and there is no way now I can go backwards. I have made to many changes and additions to the NSW routes that merged well.

Worth a try though or wait for a fix from Auran. I am only up to Cootamundra so I have a long way to go to Henty and then to Griffith.

God love governments, be they local, state or federal. Take out something that, with a little effort(?) could be made commercialy viable once more, to the benefit of the local community on one hand, and the state/country on the other, and replace with it something that funnels money into the greasy back pockets of council members/lobbyists/developers.

The thing that amazes me the most is that without the railways, many of the large towns would probably not be in the position that they are in today. Ah well, such is the world today. History, heritage and culture all ignored in the pursuit of the bottom line.

Well that is so true of Cowra, it was a meeting of the branches causing it to be come a big railway town in its hay day, just a pity it also became a meeting of the highways that have replaced the railways.

An unintentional pun, i'm sure.:D Seriously, though, there is nothing very funny about the situation regarding the plight of railways in this state, and indeed the country and world. All i can say is i am glad that there are so many talented people willing to create models of the trains and railways of NSW, for both Trainz and MSTS.

Thank you, and here's hoping those lines that remain can be kept from meeting a similar fate.
