Couple of issues with TS12

Hello:

I just installed TS12 and have 2 issues:
(1) when I use RMB to rotate my view a big ugly triad appears (showing z up and compass directions) when in Driver mode. With TS2009 I only used to get this in Surveyor. Is there a way to turn it off?

(2) When rotating my view with RMB I am getting a graphical "flash" or jerkiness at certain points as the view rotates. I don't believe that it is due to poor performance with my graphics card since I am running 2 Nvidia GTX580s in SLI mode. I am using OGL, and all graphics setting maximized.

Can anyone help?
Thanks

I've heard the criticisms of #1.

#2, may be a matter of available RAM, versus your GPUs.:)

1, Not yet.
2. Try disabling SLI, it doesn't always work well with Trainz in some cases.
Or use DirectX which is far better performance wise, OpenGL seems to me to be falling behind these days.

Regarding (1) - too bad - I like to spend a lot of time in roaming view mode.

As for (2) I disabled SLI and I no longer get the flashing.

Thanks for your help.
