You do know how God-Awfully hard it would be to even Work with the Game, Surveyor, etc, Much less Programming the Application in the First Place... :o

And where do you think the graphics card would fit ?
There wouldn't be a lot of room left after slotting in all the memory chips you would need.
Phones are for making "Phone calls", if you want to play games on the move, buy a Nintendo Game Boy. :p

:udrool:

sorry to get off topic but it doesnt have to be trs 09 ... it can be a simple version of any trainz :p

Ah well not Trainz but you might get something like this to work on a phone which is probably all it could handle, if you could find anyone to convert it for use on a phone :hehe:

Anyone remember when a phone was something you used to speak to people on? ;)

:hehe: my iphone has 32 gb internal memory .. im pretty sure it will have enough to play a low quality version of trainz...

p.s. have you heard of simtrans? . it is avilable for the iphone .. it has pretty good graphics.

Cheers to All,

No, 32GB FLASH storage. Memory and Storage are 2 different things. I think you will find that it has 256mb of memory. The other problem is the processor is likely to be an ARM variant running at 600mhz (differnet instruction set, the ARM uses RISC which if you incorperate an x86 - desktop CPU instruction set, it will not like it!) and the graphics chip? Forget it!
Trainz doesn't care too much about the processor, it can get away with a pretty poor processor (I ran TRS2006 on a 600mhz and an ATI 9700 card with little noticable lag. I noticed the problem when I found I forgot to change a setting in the BIOS, preventing the CPU from running at full speed.), but it needs a really good graphics card. Bad graphics card and decent processor = lag, good graphics card and poor CPU = goes well. Good graphics card and good GPU = top performance.

If you want a Trainz fix, install anything lower than TC3 onto a Netbook and carry that.

EDIT: I forgot to say, Auran don't have a lot of money, would it be viable? Well, probably not. Who would cough up £20 ($1.68 to the pound approx x 20 = USD$33.60 there abouts) to pay for a licence to run it? Don't say illegal downloading, that is one thing Auran do not want. Create a realistic estimate for each country (I would go by popluation but a bit more in depth than that), then consider that its around 20% loss on overal figures (estimate the figures, then take 20% off of that) for developed countries, then take 60-80% off those estimated for developing/undeveloped countries for just illegal downloading and distribution. I know this as I had to be given a lecture in it at University!

EDIT2: I am not accusing you of anything, but I expect that someone who is making a suggestion, when it comes to payment of what they consider an "unreasonable/reasonable amount", well, thats a different matter. I don't charge anyone for the use of my assets as the issue with money is far more sticky, than a lorry (truck) full of syrip with a great big hole in the side, leaking onto the street.

:udrool: thanks for all the information!!!
i did not know...

about the trainz thing, it was just an idea , i dont really want to know how much it costs , because i know ( from college studies) that a game costs lots of money to create,

Thank you,
Andre

Sorry to drift off topic a little, but a simulator for a games console which runs train activities in a 3D world (similar to TRS2004 scenarios) is a very tempting concept: plug in, switch on, drive. No installation, no service packs, no missing assets and no broken assets.

Also, before long realtime 3D graphics might become viable in browser-based games, similar to Travian, etc. Not yet though, definitely not yet.

Wake Up BLACKWATCH, even I, at 56 years old, know what a push button phone is. :)

It's that thing you push (those two buttons) before you make another call with your rotary dial.

Measure_Twice, put your finger in the zero and rotate clockwise to contact your operator.

BTW - I don't own anything but a simple cel phone. It actually contacts people and I can be contacted back. I've blocked incoming and outgoing text messages and have lost half my friends :D .

Why do I need to wake up ?
I made no mention of "push button" or "rotary dial" type phones.
I think you just read something I didn't type. :p

either way.. everyone gave me a full understanding.. ill still go with the whole iphone thingy anyway

I wouldn't bother, if you thought netbooks offer a poor experience, iPhones will be a slideshow all the way. Forget a frame every second, it will more likely be a frame every 10 seconds to 1 hour. Trainz is really that demanding.

trainz game for the iphone
Trainz itself is a bit buig at present
but nano computers are being developed
30 years ago I had a specy
now you phone is powerfull enough to do any of those games I played
For modern day try
http://www.realrailway.com/en/sim/index.html
I guess it is in flash and I guess the iphone dose flash
guess it is a case of try and see

To all those that say it's a phone man.it is just for talking
should think about their computer which is ofcause just an office machine...
I guess the world is full of possablities for some of us others just say no.
