I already have a 120 gig Corsair series GT SSD.
Originally I was booting from a RAID 0 hard drive array and using the SSD only for Trainz.
Then I decided to see what running Windows 7 from the SSD looked like. Booting from the SSD totally rocks but now running Trainz from the array is a sad step backwards for the gaming experience. The system does now have a Windows Experience Index of 7.7 out of a possible 7.9.
Having recently come into a decent chunk of money (which the North Carolina department of revenue had egregiously taken from me, but that's another story) I decided that a second SSD is in order. But this one needs to be big enough to hold both TS2012 and the next version along with Euphod's many gigabytes of stuff and of course other fine assets as well.
But anywho, the current Corsair is going strong so maybe I stay with the same company.
Newegg has got a Corsair Neutron Series GTX SSD (240 GB) for $250. The specs look good and all my other stuff from them in my computer (SSD, water cooler, Vengeance RAM) have not given me any problems. The current SSD is 8 months old.
Anybody else got one of these SSDs or better ideas with regards to price/performance?
