Corrpupted Map File

My PC crashed when I was working on a Trainz map (version 1.3) and now I cannot open it either in Surveyor or Driver mode.

I can see the map preview in the menu screen however most of the squares are just blank and have turned black with no track lines showing.

Is there any way to recover it or will I need to begin from scratch?
