Copy Baseboard???

I have been working on a layout since TRS2004 and I am now using TRS2006. I would love to separate my last baseboard and give it it's own name and continue from there since my layout is getting so large. Is this even possible? Can you separate the last baseboard? I know you can delete it.

There may be a number of other ways to skin this cat, but what I would do is this.

1. Make a clone of the existing route under a new name.

2. Remove all of the baseboards from the clone except the one you want to retain. (Maybe a bit tedious.)

3. Add baseboards to the remaining baseboard as desired and build on.

4. Use IPortals to connect the resulting two routes.

I would delete all the baseboards that you wont be using then click "Save As" naming it something different then you have 2 routes. But before you do this its best to back up the route first.

Bernie you know your business very well. I have seen the "Clone" button but have never used it before. I made a clone, renamed it and deleted the part I didnt want. Now I can work on my narrow gauge layout without interference. Thank you also hert,

Many thanks,

Harold
