Copy and Paste?

is there the possibility to select several items and duplicate them? (of course, not one by one)

Do you mean in Surveyor? If so, if they're grouped together, open the Tools flyout, click the "Copy" button, draw a box around the items, click on the "Paste" button, move to where you want them and L-click the mouse.

You can rotate them before you click, using the wheel, but only in 45 degree increments. To be more precise, after you've clicked to place them, you will have to move them one at a time.

Sorry about that, one of the drawbacks, I'm afraid.
