Controlling Signals

I would like to have my signals controlled by a rule or similar. I want to make my trains stop at a signal, even if there is no train in the section after the signal and control the time the signal will change (or even random timing) how can this be achieved. I would like to set up a late running scenario.

My best advice for that, is to use the Set Signal/Set Signal Extended rules (set the signal to 'Danger'), then use a Wait rule (Wait rules have a random facility as well as fixed times), then use a set signal/set signal extended rule to reset it to automatic.

The Set Signal/Set Signal Extended rules are on the DLS. If you want them to be triggered when the train approaches etc. , use the Check Trackside rule (I think that is also on the DLS) - use the 'Trackmark' option for this)
