Content Updates wiping out my changes?

Hi;
I had replaced the bogeys on many rolling stock, but one day found that most of them had gone back to the old ones. I had been doing the available updates when I ran TS12, so I suppose some of those content were being updated, reverting back to the old bogeys?
So I have to watch which assets I allow to be updated from here on.

FWIW, in order to avoid the update problem on items I have modified I first clone the object and change the name by adding my initials to it so that it is assigned my own KUID, then I do the modification. The automatic updating scheme does not recognize the new cloned asset as one that needs updating, and the original is still available for updating.

Hello, John,

Looks like we were "talking" at the same time. :hehe:

Or the other technique is to clone the item then it doesn't get hit by the updates. You lod version should still be there so you could just copy the changes over.

Cloning and modifying the cloned copy makes sense. That's what I'll be doing from here on. It will also solve the naming problem. I like to re-name items so I can find them more easily.
