Content Transferring

How do I make a cdp? Do I put it on the desktop and move it into the trs 2010 cmp? I want to move 2 sigma-6 ac4400 repaints but i know sigma-6's ac4400s work in 2010.

  1. In Trainz 2006 CMP select the items you want to transfer - hold down the CTLR key while you left mouse click on each one (or use the SHIFT key if there is a block of them).
  2. Then right mouse click on one of the selected (blue background) items and select "Save to CDP". Identify a suitable drive/folder for storing the CDP and give it a suitable filename
  3. Close Trainz 2006 CMP
  4. Open Trainz 2010 CMP. Open the File menu,
  5. Select "Import CDPs". Locate the same drive/folder used to store the file.
  6. Select the CDP you created and click Open.

Thanks, Trainz 2010 should come in today or tomorrow:sleep: . Could I also save the cdps to the desktop and them move them into cmp like it was downloaded?

You can save them in any folder or place you like, including on the desktop. The operation "File - Import CDPs" is exactly like downloading them from the DLS except that they are stored on your HDD instead of the Trainz Web Server.

If you use your browser and FTP to download an asset from the DLS instead of Download Helper you will get a CDP file which you will have to save to your computer (to a folder, the desktop, or wherever you want) and then use CMP and "File - Import CDPs" to install it. This sometimes works better than downloading directly via CMP.
