A few questions to clear up some confusion I am having over your problem.

How are you downloading the items you want to install? CM should download and install them in one operation if they are coming from the DLS. Are those items from the DLS?
What are you committing and disabling?

Hi pware
what happen
if i download from the download station i manuel downlod in to a folder
named download.
the downloads have an red icon for each downlosd
when i then move the item in to the content manager in to open for edit
i just get a circle icon in black,it will not except it
but when i the double click on the red icon it will open another content manager page
then i cn move all the downloads in to the open for edit
I am trying to disable some content in Trainz 2009 world edition but to se if they have
disabled i have to go out and back in
when i commit anything in open for edit it will stay there after i have commuted the items
but i then have to go out and back in then they are gone from open to commit and show up in today's download
hope this male better seance

Have you checked if the items you are trying to import are already installed as built-in items? The commit process will normally tell you if there are any issues.

OK, I think I see what is happening here.

The "red icon" is the normal icon for a Trainz .cdp file.

Try this method of installing downloaded content from your download folder - this is the recommended method.

  1. In Content Manager open the File menu.
  2. Select Install Content Files (DO NOT select Install Content Folders - that is for another type of install)
  3. A File Window will open up and you will need to navigate to the drive and folder containing your downloaded .cdp files. Trainz will remember the last folder you used so next time it should go straight to your Downloads folder.
  4. Select one (or more .cdp files) and click Open.

Assuming that there are no errors, they should now be installed (larger assets like big routes will take a longer time to install so be patient).
