Trainz 2009 CMP problems

when i drag something over into the download helper box and start bthe download nothing happens! sometimes a message appears at the bottom saying that the server is too busy. i know i have internet connection and my trainz is registered! any ideas?

Sounds like an account refresh may be needed - helpdesk can do this for you.

Be aware though, that if you do happen to download more than 100MB in a day, you will not be able to download the next day - unless you have a FCT.

Funny, I too had that problem. Was dl'ing missing deps from a couple of routes I got, the total was around 56 MB. But part way thru the list, it told me I had reached my 100 MB limit, which was bogus. That was Friday. I couldn't get anything on Saturday OR Sunday.

Note: this was on my laptop...but on my desktop, with the same program, same serial number, etc., CMP had 100 MB still open, so I could download there.

There was a thread on what people liked best about Trainz. There are many things I like about the program, but I can guarantee you, CMP would NOT make this list.

I think the DLS 100MB per day cap (for non-FCT users) is linked to the account/user ID, not the computer. (CMP has to check in with the Auran/N3V Games server to find out how much is remaining, which it does after each download (and when CMP loads))
