Content Manager is Offline - Is it really?

Hey guys! So I'm new around these parts, and TS12, though I'm steadily learning.

I picked up the game yesterday with a 3-month FCT and have had nothing but problems so far. First of all it was a constant black screen, it seems the game didn't like the patch (now fixed that issue). My issue now is that the Content Manager is mostly, if not always, Offline. I finally managed to get on it this morning twice, and that was it. I have been through my Firewalls, routers, and so on... I'm pretty clued up on what I am doing so no issues there. I've also run the Network Diagnostics tool in the Content Manager - Everything passes (0 Errors, 0 Warnings) So why is it still Offline?!

I've just restarted it again before submitting this post, just to make sure. CM starts, red bar at the bottom says Unable to contact Planet Auran, please check your internet connection and firewall settings. Done the network diagnostic, nothing wrong there. So I'm at a loss..

I did search before making this post, and read up on people's suggestions to change your Planet Auran password (even to the same thing) then try again. I've done that already.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers!

No problems here, just launched it to check & all good to go.

You've done the UN & PW so don't know what else to suggest, sorry.

Launch 2012 then select options, check the general tab to see cm knows your cd key, if it's not there add it.
Also open cm, select file then internet settings. check to see if the fct is active, your user id is correct, I set internet to no proxy server, no idea if that makes any odds.

Must be a N3V thing. A couple of days ago I had just downloaded a few items from the DLS (from the forum link) and CMP (TS12) opened automatically as usual to install them. To my surprise, a red bar appeared at the bottom of the screen stating that CMP was off line, my user name was not recognized and that I needed to register my serial number. What the heck????????????? While the red bar was showing , I set up a DLS search in CMP and it worked just fine. So my conclusion was that although CMP said it was off line in reality, it was not. Yesterday, the red bar was gone without any input from me. So I am assuming it was a temporary glitch with the servers which may or may not happen again.

Assuming it isn't really offline, I've found a couple of ways round this.

1. Close Content Manager wait for TadDaemon to go away and then restart.

If that doesn't work.

2. Again I close CM then use a program called Temp Cleaner which clears out all the temp files that get left or missed by other supposed clean up programs, let it reboot the PC and the restart CM, usually this clears problems with the DLS. TS12 has a lot of temporary stuff in the Windows user folders that can't be got at by normal easy means.

Thank you for the replies guys, most obliged.

It seems to be working fine now... Maybe it was just the servers having a hiccup and nothing on my end. I've been downloading tons of content thus far, all fun and a learning experience! :)
