Good day to you all.I have Trainz 2006 and TC3,and I enjoy them,as a novice.

I have tried to make sense of the CMP,and when I go to the DLS the download starts and when it finishes we get a noise like a cow and details of it vanish from the download helper. At this point I find the item in todays downloads I go to edit and commit, and expect to find them in my surveyor.

They are never there can someone please tell me where I go wrong

In theory yes. Have any got missing dependancies causing them not to show in surveyor. This will show by yellow or red signs by the side of them after commiting.

After you finish downloading, select the installed tab in CMP then add another Search Action Panel filter for Buildin - False. This will list all the items you've downloaded so you can check them all for missing dependencies or errors. If any show, that's probably why you can't see them in Surveyor. Fix them and they'll show up. If you have problems doing that, post the problem kuids here and we'll help you.

Bob

Thank you

Gentlemen I will follow you instructions and report back, meanwhile on this CMP are their some items that are not compatible with TC 3.In other words is their a way of finding out what might be a download for 2006/2004/ and TC3.

Thank you:confused:

This is the <kuid:169585:39247> I have tried to download it Sign Camp Coffee I down loaded for TC3 would that be wrong also it shows in CMP installed. Also as new to this,Bob wrote << select the installed tab in CMP then add another Search Action Panel filter for Buildin - False.>> not sure how you do this more details please.

Thanks

As long as the asset is for TC3 or below it should work. It shows in CMP as installed but not in surveyer, did you commit it?

Start CMP. The tabs are along the top edge. Pressing Installed will display all items that are installed on your system, including buildin and downloads. Over on the left margin is the Search Action Panel. It will display in its two windows 'Location' and 'Local'. Down and to the right of Local is a box with a +. Press the + to open a new box which will say 'Name'. Click on Name and select Builtin. The box to the right will say 'True'. Click it and select 'False'

thanks Bob

Thanks for your help Bob now for another question for any one with the answer. When you complete a download and it has a faulty dependency, can it be repaired if so how:confused:

Have just downloaded the camp coffee sign with no missings deps. There is another one, kuid 217096:70103, you could try that.

I see lots of complaints on here about this does not work and that does not work,so I can only assume my CMP does not work properly,I have followed it to the letter, and its download, the CMP says you have it and there is nothing.:'(

If you have an asset that shows missing dependencies or has errors and warnings, post those messages here and we'll help you fix whatever is wrong.

You know, yrreblum,

You asked this same question at the UKTrainz forums, and people paid a lot of attention to you, and Mike10 over there even downloaded the sign and posted a screenshot of how it looked in his Surveyor and it was called "Sign:Camp Coffee".

You seem to be a little demanding on this. If there is something wrong with your program, maybe you should be mentioning it to the Auran help desk, or asking for your money back.

All this could have something to do with what version of Windows you are using, or some such thing. And the original CMP in the original 2006 did have problems. Sometimes the answer is to "really read and try to understand" what people have told you. Read the docs. Search the forums. And look at the screenshot at UKTrainz forum, see what he typed in green in the surveyor list? that's how he found the item.

Me, I'm finished on this thread, and this problem. Bye !
