Okay so i am trying to install a few steam engines that in the content manager download fine. but when I try to commit any assets. it says it cannot make changes to the asset due to a database access error, now ive heard updating your display drivers or videocard drivers works, but mine are completely up to date. so i tried the other option, a database repair, quick and an extended, neither worked, so now some content i did manage to install befor this issue is the only things i have installed, and new content can not be committed, can some one help or tell me how i can fix this?

Thanks~

also check that your files in Trainz directory arent read only dont ask me why it happens but sometimes windows changes them to read only for some reason only windows can guess at.

also check that when it tries to comit it isnt comming up withh a config file error i have been caught with it or config file missing in the asset.

hope this helps

page wouldnt load for me. and even setting the trainz application properties to run as administrator it diddnt help, any insight to why this may be?
is it like a thing where somehow i have Skrewed my Content manager up towhere it cannot be fixed without uninstalling the game?

i will check that now

EDIT: I checked and none of the files seemed to be read only from what i could tell, but im still having the issue. i might just have to try removing the game completely and going off a backup i made when i first installed it.

Josh,

A database access error can mean that your Assets.tdx has problems and you need to do a repair. Try a Quick Database Repair (QDR) first and see if that resolves your problem.
