I'm in the process of building a few routes at the moment. My question is, if I build in TRS22 but don't use any assets that only function in 22, would it be compatible with TRS19?

No, the route will not be compatible due to file format changes between the versions. You can build a route in TRS19 or a lower version and import it up to TRS22 but not the other way around. This isn't an issue that's specific to TRS22 and is due to changes in how the program updates work.

Oh... That's going to impede this quite a bit:confused:
If I make a reskin in TRS22 on an asset compatible with lower versions, will that be compatible?

I create at 3.5 but work and test in TS22 does that answer your question? It's only the routes that have a different format. Ordinary stuff is whatever you set the version number to in the config.txt file.

I meant if I made a route in 22, which is what I'm running currently, would I be able to export it to CDP, and have it be able to be run by someone running 19.

Short answer is No.

TRS22 routes have a different file format (I believe it is the format of the map data) to those used in TRS19. Exporting a TRS22 route as a CDP file will not change the map format used in the route so it will not work in TRS19.

Just as a small note from what i recall, but this has been a thing since classics 1 and 2 and 2012. 06, 04 and i think utc were all compatible in terms of routes.
