Confused about TANE

The way I see it you haven't paid for the same thing twice but have bought two copies of the same thing. One in a box, presumably cardboard, and the other in a tin. Both have much the same except the tin version has some extra goodies.
I have a TS12 Collector's Edition in a tin box. One day it would probably make a half decent bikkie tin. You could probably fit about 24 Tim Tams in there.

The pre-order site does state at the bottom regarding Kickstarter backers, so it's likely that you didn't read the page fully.

Ron, I am confused by your initial post, in which you wrote

You could always email the help desk regarding your order (duplicate); at this time you haven't actually received anything for the money and you could throw yourself on the mercy of n3v...
I did something similar with a preorder for Elite Dangerous, it was all worked out for me.
