Conforming ground to elevated track?

If I adjusted the elevation of some track I had lain, then how can I get the ground to automatically adjust to that track height? Is it even possible, or I do I have to try and manually adjust it the entire length?

On the Track tab - Advance - Smooth - iirc right hand button. Click on the track and the ground will raise/lower to suit. There is a more-or-less legacy feature which will result in the final track height being .020 too high. Only noticeable from low angles, but if it irritates the only fix is to manually lower every spline vertex by .020

I hate to say but I'm pretty sure that this is not possible. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you would have to build a bridge or manually adjust it.
