Command library?

G’day All,
I have just managed to get a session to work and was wondering if I could copy the commands I have made for the trains to a command library or similar, I am using TS10 44088. It would be a real pain to have to write them down and then replicate them as there are so many commands in each set.
My plan is to set portals and emit trains at intervals to carry out these commands and possibly some slight variations of them.
Regards

Barrie,

I think you could copy these commands to other consists and to the schedule library using the copy schedule command.

You need to use the schedule library and set up all commands in this. You will have to redo as you cant copy over. All you do then is place the copy commands from in the drivers list and select the schedule from the list.

Just to add when you use "copy command" you can choose a schedule from either the schedule library or another AI driver. Yon also select more than one schedule from the library. The 1st one will unpack as soon as you start the AI driver but the 2nd and subsequent ones will not unpack until the AI driver has completed the first one etc! Also certain commands cannot be put into the schedule library. for example "uncouple from" requires the AI driver's locomotive to be coupled to the vehicle you want him to uncouple. Another tip. If you are using triggers and you want the trigger to activate for "any train" (in particular) or a specific locomotive, if you have a really long list to choose from you may not see your option listed due to insufficent room. So create a short schedule with the trigger command before you add too many locomotives to your layout.

The commands from another driver might cause a problem as only the commands left in that drivers schedule will be copied, not the list from when that train started. Uncouplez from will work in schedule library as will uncouplez.
