You can clone the route but can't merge it and alter your copy of it but can't merge it because the route still has the restrictions built into it in the data.

The restriction is set by the content creator when he uploads the route to the TCC program.

I set the route aside. There are other, different, asset issue so I am going back to a route where I merged three railroads. The base route is Coal Country, an MSGSAPPER railyard offering and the Esopus route by Approach Medium. They fit together well as a common theme - Northeast USA railroading.
