I have tried to transfer the Classics locos onto TS2009. They all appear, but they all have missing dependencies it seems and none of them run. Whats the story here? Surely if have purchased 2009, I should be able to get the Classics locos to run on it.
Many thanks for any help.

TC1 / TC2 or TC3?

Thanks John

TC3 which I downloaded.

They are a different version, have you transferred and committed all the TC3 content that way it should bring in the dependencies.

Which loco(s) (kuids please) and I'll check on my version of TRS2009.

Thanks John

I'm thinking 2009 doesn't care for some of the scripts. When I transfered TC1&2 locos into 2006, that was what prevented them from running. Of course they were not steam engines. Steam engines tend to use alot of scripts.

TC3 locos and rolling stock should transfer over and run in TS2009 if you also bring over their dependencies.

Some will show with errors but they should still work.

Mike.

EDIT: just a thought - are these only downloaded from the website or have you transferred them from a copy of TC3?

Thanks all. Actually I transferred from TC3 content, not website. ie, I transferred over all content in the TC3 "local" folder and into the TS2009 content manager.

Not sure about getting stuff from the local folder, you need all the stuff from the compressed .ja files as well.

What most people do is;

Start TC3 CMP, select all the content with location=local and open everything for edit.
Close CMP and Open TS2009 CM2
'Import Content' and point it at your TC3 'Editing' folder
Commit all the newly imported content.
Close CM2
Open TC3 CMP and revert everything that is open for edit.

Takes a while but does the job.

(You may get errors about not being able to open some items for edt, they are already built-in to TS2009 so that shouldn't be a problem)

Mike.

Thanks very much. It worked perfectly. Everything is up and running and all missing dependencies have now been sorted.
Cheers

I have TRS 2009 (Build 38411).

Is it possible (or "Legal"?) to get TC3 content, both built in and the extras without owning a copy of TC3? I have tried by various means without any luck.

Thanks.

Chris

Hi Leo,
I presume you are running in compatibility mode as in native mode most of the TC3 rolling stock shows in red and will not be usable . John.
