City buildings in DEMs

Can someone tell me, please, if the city buildings does appear as landforms in a DEM. I made a trainz map for Denver and I have a dome somewhere southwest of Union Station, in a place where in Google Earth is placed the Pepsi Center.

Depends on the DEM source. Orbital DEMs like SRTM and ASTER tend to show structures in built-up areas (and also forests) as terrain, unless post-processed. Terrestrial DEMs like NED do not.

Thank you very much for identifying the source of my problem. This one seems to be a SRTM DEM.
