Choices about new machine

Hello all,

Recently I purchased an ex-demo monitor for £100 that means I'm gonna be playing TC3 on the new system in 1680x1050.

The two systems I am trying to choose between both have a 3.0GHz Dual Core, Vista 64 Bit and a 500Gb Hard Drive.

The differences I can't decide between are this:
4Gb DDR3 RAM
Ati 4850 1Gb

OR

The other is:
8Gb DDR2 RAM
Ati 4870 1Gb
(This one is also slightly cheaper)

So, my question is which is gonna serve me best, both for TC3 and for using hi-res editing in Photoshop as I'm a semi-pro freelance photographer (hopefully I'll delete the semi bit soon!!)

Probably the 4870 based machine but the DDR3 would be tempting. It depends were the performance bottlenecks are and as we haven't seen the final version of TRS2009 yet no one can be absolutely certain.
