Changing Tuntable Spinner tracks

Hi all, does anyone know if there is an easy way to edit the tracks on the turntable spinner?

On the route I am modeling i have one of the towns is a interchange with a std. gauge branchline and a 3'6" narrow gauge line, and I would like to use the Duranago Roundhouse since that's size of round house i need, but i need the turntable to have dual gauge tracks.

Hi vonhammer,

I have changed the turntable tracks in earlier versions of trainz just by changing the track kuid in the turntable config.txt file, but it might give trouble in later versions such as TS10 and 12. I have not tried it in TS10 because there's a better range of turntables available. I think I have seen a dual gauge turntable in TS10 but I will have to hunt around to find it, when I do I will post the kuid number if someone else has not done so before me.

Now i want to change the ballast for the track- the dual gauge track is
MB_dual_3_6_no_ballast
<kuid:35412:38085>

and i want the ballast to match the MP Track Wood 2 - <kuid2:69871:2004:2>

any idea on how to do this? thanks

Hi again,

Good to hear the track change worked ok. as for changing the ballast, I don't think that is possible unless you have access to the original Gmax files.
The only way to fudge it would be to create a new ballast spline and lay it underneath the track. I could be wrong maybe someone else can throw some light on it.

If ballast is a texture file, then it can be changed to a new texture. Make a copy of the track and put a new ballast texture in there.

what if the ballast is not a texture file or i cant find the ballast file?
