Changing ground grid size in TANE

I would like to try 5mm grid setting, changed the setting in topology tab from 10mm to 5mm, but nothing happens. The manual has nothing on this. Anybody know the correct method? Thanks.

This applies to all new baseboards added from that point on.
You can change current baseboards by clicking on it after you made the change.

I tried these moves but with no results; grid does not change for current or new baseboards. Is there a permissive that is required? I could find none in the Settings lists. Thanks-Nick

Wait... are you expecting the way the ground looks to change? Because that is not going to happen; that is just a (standard) base texture.

The grid size (10m or 5m) effects how the ground behaves when you raise / lower it and the detail at which you can texture it.

In Surveyor, the yellow lines are at 10m, the black lines in between the yellow lines are 5m. When you create a new Route it automatically sets the field to 10m. You must then change it to 5m after that. If you have not painted any surfaces and change from 10m to 5m you will not notice any difference.

When adding new baseboards you can select either 10m or 5m. Some people here have suggested that where your tracks are laid to make those baseboards at 5m, and then the surrounding baseboards at 10m for performance reasons. I'm on the fence with that, and have all my baseboards at 5m for a higher detail.
