Changing content created from one pc to another

Hi all,
I havr recently brought a new computer and also TS2009. I had a great layout built in TRS2006 on my pld desktop and want to get this route to my new pc firstly then I would like to take this layout to TS2009. Can anybody please help with clear instructions to do this? I have searched every folder in TRS2006 and looked at the forum all day. Please help as I don't have the patience to start over?

If the two PCs are networked and have their drives shared, just drag and drop the map folder containing the route onto CM2 or use the import feature in CM2 to find and import the route.

If they are not networked, copy the map folder to a USB memory stick and import from that.

Note that if you used any objects in your TRS2006 route that you don't have installed in TS2009, you will have missing dependencies. Those objects will also have to be imported into TS2009.

Thank you for such a quick reply but I can not find a folder named maps nor any folder containing a file with the same name as the route I had added to. Is there another way?

One way is to start TRS2006 CMP, select your route and pick Edit - Edit in Explorer to put it in the edit folder. Then copy the routes folder, from the edit folder, to your transfer device. Then, move it to the other computer and use CM2s File - Import Content function to get into TS 2009. Then you'll have to repeat this operation for any dependencies that TS2009 doesn't already have.

Seek out the route with CMP then create a CDP of the route copy it and move via a memory stick or other devise to the new computer and import CDP into 06 or 09

My mistake, I'm still working in the TRS2004 to TS2009 mode. So as they mentioned above, Open your route for editing and them import the Edit folder into 2009 or save the route as a CDP and import that. Don't forget any dependencies.
